The hotel had a hairdresser's salon, so I didn't have to leave with a bad hair day. Oh, and there were also some restaurants and shops nearby, in case I got bored.
The complimentary WiFi was great, if you're into playing a game called "Will it Disconnect Now? " every few seconds.

During my recent stay at a hotel in downtown Ankara, I was delighted by the convenient location and spacious room. The staff at the reception desk went above and beyond to assist us, and the friendly room cleaner ensured a comfortable stay. The buffet-style meals offered a wide variety of delicious Turkish dishes to try. While the cable TV channels were in Turkish, the internet, although occasionally dropping out, was satisfactory for my needs. Although there were a few minor inconveniences, like the lack of tissues and a malfunctioning shower gel dispenser, overall I had a pleasant experience at this hotel. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a solid and dependable accommodation option in Ankara.

It's located in the heart of Ankara, close to so many cool places to shop and have fun. We explored the vibrant streets and found the best coffee shops ever! The hotel staff were super friendly and helpful, making our trip even better. We felt like true adventurers in the city!
The only thing we wished for was a more happening nightlife scene near the hotel. As young party-goers, we wanted to experience the energetic Ankara nightlife, but it was a bit too quiet around the hotel.

The interior and exterior design of this hotel took me straight back to the 80s of Turkey, which gave me an incredible sense of nostalgia. The hotel may not have a polished minimalist look, but it's filled with character. The value for money and prime location were truly remarkable. I couldn't have asked for more! 15 words :)

The hotel had good Christmas decoration and there were some nice festive treats offered. , the location was convenient, close to shopping and dining options. the staff was friendly and welcoming.
The room was dated and some of the amenities were not up to par with other hotels in the area. The Wi-Fi was spotty, and there were no extra pillows in the room.

I recently stayed at the Gurkent Hotel for 3 weeks during my visit to Ankara. The location of the hotel is fantastic, just a short walk from the bustling Kizilay area. It's in a peaceful neighborhood, away from the noise but still close to the main boulevard and plenty of bars, restaurants, and eateries. The staff was friendly and quickly resolved any issues, like the slight cigarette smell in one of the rooms. The rooms were clean and equipped with all the necessary amenities like air conditioning, a TV, minibar, hairdryer, and a safe. The beds were comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Breakfast offered a variety of options, including scrambled eggs, cheeses, fruits, juices, and more. I will definitely choose to stay at this hotel again on my next visit.
Totally recommend this hotel.
